McLaren Vale Vintage &Classic 2016

Join us for the 11th running of this popular event! The main event will take place on Sunday 17th. Vehicles must be at Serafino (McLarens on the lake), McLaren Vale by 10:00am.

This event commences Sunday morning with all vehicles assembling in one location (a great chance to walk amongst all of the 520+ classic and vintage cars) followed by a parade down the main street of McLaren Vale where thousands of spectators (15-20,000 last year!) line the street to see the cars. All vehicles then drive out to the participating local wineries where cars will be displayed for the afternoon.

Visit the website for more info and to download an entry form: - entry is $20 per vehicle which includes a commemorative badge. Entries close 3rd April.

The club will have a convoy run to the event - meet at the Windy Point cafe carpark (corner Belair and Kalyra roads) at 8:45 for a 9:00am SHARP departure for a scenic drive through the hills to McLaren vale (or meet us there b y 10:00am).

Informal Club Runs

1st Sunday of Each Month - Everyone Welcome!

The first Sunday in the month meet at the Burnside Town Hall Library car park (corner of Greenhill & Portrush Road) at 10.00 am. The route and destination is decided on the day.

Being an informal run, anyone is welcome - you don't need to be a club member (or even have a Mercedes-Benz!). This is a great way to come and meet our club members and see some of their vehicles in a friendy and relaxed social atmosphere.

General Meetings

General Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 8p.m. (except for the December meeting which is the 2nd Tuesday) at the Combined Car Club (Triple C) Clubrooms* in the Glandore Community Centre complex - corner of Clark Ave. and Naldera St., Glandore 5037. Enter via the car park on Clark Avenue (the clubrooms are 20m to the south of the car park).

* Please note that the November general meeting is typically held at Mercedes-Benz Adelaide instead of the clubrooms.

Whilst the purpose of these meetings is to primarily deal with the general business of the club, it is a good opportunity to come and introduce yourself, meet with other members and join us for a coffee after the meeting. Historic registration inspections and approvals can only be done at General Meetings so you will need to attend a general meeting if you wish to obtain Historic Registration.

Our club also maintains a comprehensive library of technical and historical publications relating to Mercedes-Benz vehicles (such as workshop manuals, owners manuals, books on the history of the marque, back issues of club magazines and more). The library is only accessible during General Meetings and club members may borrow items from the library.

Coming & Future Events

In addition to the regular meetings and informal runs listed above, the club holds at least one other organised run/event each month. The club (and individual members) also participates in many other show and shine, rally and social events.

Details of upcoming events can be found in our club magazine 'THE STAR'. If you would like to be emailed a PDF copy of the current magazine, please contact the club editor by clicking on the 'contact us' tab at the top of the page.
